Shipping policy
We inspect each Garment with great attention to detail prior to delivery/collection. In the event that you receive a Garment that is not in a satisfactory condition, please email hello@borrowedsociety.co.nz within 12 hours of receiving it.
Collections
If you have selected Pick Up, you must also return the Garment to the same location on your Booking Return Date.
Currently Garments can be collected and returned between 7-9am and 3.30-7.30pm Monday - Friday.
Garments will be available to collect 1-2 days prior to your Booking Start Date.
An email with information regarding collection will be sent between 3-7 days before your booking start date.
Delivery
We strongly encourage booking your Garment in advance of your event.
We utilise NZ Post overnight courier service with “Signature Required” to send out all orders. When placing your booking, please use a delivery address where you will be available to sign. If you initiate an Authority to Leave then the garment will be deemed to be in your care and you will be liable to pay for the replacement of the Garment if it is stolen.
Our cutoff time for same day dispatch is 3pm, Monday-Friday. Should you place an order after this time, it will be shipped the following business day. An email with the tracking number will be sent to you once your order has been dispatched, allowing you to monitor its progress.
Please be aware that overnight delivery is the target by NZ Post but cannot be guaranteed and depending on the delivery area can take 1-2 business days.
Rural delivery addresses require an additional 2-3 business days.
When you receive the garment, you will be provided with a prepaid, pre-addressed bag to return on your selected Booking Return Date.
Please double-check the information that will come with your order to confirm when the garment should be returned. When packaging the garment, please make sure to drop it off at the nearest NZ Post Shop and hand it over the counter by 4pm at the latest. Do not put it in a street postbox. Postboxes may not be cleared as often, and this can lead to late fees being charged.
If you lose your return bag, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@borrowedsociety.co.nz. We may be able to forward you a label to print on paper, otherwise you will need to purchase a replacement bag and overnight courier ticket (Yellow) and forward us the tracking number. Late fees as set out in the Terms and Conditions will apply if it is not sent back on time or using overnight courier.
Late Delivery
In the event of your order not being received by/on your Booking Start Date/Event we will refund in full less delivery fees.
Refunds are only available if the Garment is returned unworn and scanned at a NZ Post counter by the following business day after arrival, and the booking was made 4 business days or more before the booking start date (5 days for rural addresses).
Refunds will not be given if:
- You have selected the incorrect shipping option (eg. Standard delivery instead of Rural delivery for a Rural Address.
- You have entered incorrect or incomplete address information causing a delay.
- You have redirected the parcel to a different address or pick up point as this can add 2-3 days on and will be considered interference to the delivery of the item.
