How It Works

So you’ve received your event invite, have decided against pulling out one of your old dresses stuffed away in the wardrobe and instead have found yourself here. Well welcome to Borrowed Society, and to the rental community.

Renting gives the opportunity to wear looks you love and maybe try something new without the commitment.   

If this is your first time renting it may seem a little daunting but we promise it’s not!  Follow the steps below to wear a special Borrowed Society piece.

STEP ONE

Explore

Our collection of stunning pieces have been carefully curated from a range of renowned designers, and many of our pieces are only available to hire in New Zealand with us. 

STEP TWO

Select

Once you have found your dream dress, use the booking calendar to organise your rental period. 


When selecting your start date, use the date you need or want the dress by.  This is typically the event date, however if you are travelling then select the date you are leaving.

Your return date is the following business day after your event, unless otherwise booked.  If you are travelling and unable to return on the following business day, you will need to adjust the rental period and select the day you are able to return the garment.

STEP THREE

Book

Secure your dream dress by completing the steps at checkout. For added peace of mind, you can add a Back Up Dress and Rip and Stain Protection to your booking.

And now that you have your outfit sorted, all that's left to do is drink champagne and dance the night away in your Borrowed Society peace.
